In Slovenia, wild camping is not allowed. However, you can set up your tent on private grounds with the landowner’s permission. Alternatively, you can choose from numerous campsites throughout the country. Camping in Slovenia is the best way to experience our natural heritage in all its beauty. So, plan your itinerary and head to the Soca Valley!
Even in (or near) the Soca Valley, you’ll find more than 15 campsites, each located in a unique and special spot. The advantage of smaller campsites is that they provide all the luxury amenities without being overcrowded. It’s the perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature and truly unwind.
The Best Time to Camp
Campsites near Bovec are usually open from April to mid-October, which coincides with the best months for hiking, cycling, mountaineering, or simply relaxing on your vacation. If you’re an adrenaline junkie, you’ll find plenty of options for thrilling activities such as canyoning, rafting, and even skydiving. Check their official website for more details.
While autumn and winter might not be the best seasons for camping in the area, they offer a unique charm. If you’re interested in capturing some snowy pictures, consider spending a night at Herbal Rooms, just 60 kilometers from Bovec.
