Check-In and Check-Out Information

When it comes to check-in and check-out times, it’s essential to be aware of the following details. For cabins, check-in time is at 3 pm, while check-out time is at 9 am. On the other hand, for the boat, check-out time is at 12 pm. Make sure to plan your schedule accordingly to maximize your time exploring the underwater wonders of Egypt.

Dive Guides and Marine Parks

Egyptian law requires all safaris to be led by certified dive guides who are familiar with the local dive sites and regulations. These guides must have a CDWS identity card, ensuring compliance with the law. Furthermore, trips to the Marine Parks, including the Brother Islands, Daedalus Reef, Rocky Island, and Zabargad, must be accompanied by two dive guides with CDWS identity cards. (1 dive guide for a maximum of 8 divers). Please note that the Marine Park supplement applies to trips to St. John’s Reef.

Equipment and Nitrox

We want to ensure you have the best diving experience possible, which is why we offer various facilities and services. On our boats, you can find a partial pressure filling system on the MY Blue Planet 1 and an NRC-Membrane System on the MY Blue Pearl, MY Blue, MY Blue Storm, and MY Blue Seas. Moreover, if you’re interested in diving with Nitrox or taking a Nitrox course, we’ve got you covered. Nitrox is free for certified divers on MY Blue, MY Blue Pearl, and MY Blue Seas, while the cost on MY Blue Planet 1 is 65 Euros per person per week.

Payment Options and Required Documents

To make your booking process more convenient, we accept different forms of payment, including Dollar, Egyptian Pound, Euro, and English Pound. Additionally, payment by credit card (MasterCard and Visa only) is possible on MY Blue, MY Blue Storm, MY Blue Pearl, and MY Blue Seas. When preparing for your diving adventure, don’t forget to bring the necessary equipment and documents, such as your dive brevet, logbook, medical certification of health (not older than 1 year), dive computer, surface marker boje, and weight bell.

Rental Equipment and Spare Parts

While we encourage you to bring your own equipment, we understand that sometimes renting equipment is more convenient. That’s why we offer rental services for equipment, torches, and dive computers. However, please note that these items are not insured, and you’ll be held liable for any loss or damage that occurs.

Passport Data and Safari Start

To ensure a smooth start to your safari, we kindly request that you provide us with the passport data for all participants at least 8 days before the safari begins. This includes family name, forename, nationality, passport number, flight number, arrival time, and departure time. By providing this information in advance, you help us organize everything efficiently, guaranteeing a punctual start to your adventure.

Rules and Regulations

As responsible divers, we must respect and protect the marine environment. Therefore, we kindly ask you to adhere to the following rules during your safari:

  • Hunting, fishing, collecting, or breaking off corals or shells is prohibited.
  • Disposing of any materials, such as garbage, oil, or grease, into the sea is strictly forbidden.
  • Anchoring inside protected areas is not allowed.
  • Feeding fish and birds is prohibited.
  • The use of hand gloves for divers is not permitted.
  • Standing on corals is strictly prohibited.

Violation of these rules may result in fines, as dictated by Law 102 of 1983 and Law 4 of 1994. For the first offense, a fine of L.E. 10,000 or a jail term of one year may be imposed. For subsequent offenses, the fine is L.E. 20,000, along with additional consequences for the captain, dive guide, and the ship’s permissions.

Booking and Cancellation Policies

To secure your spot on our diving cruise, we require a 20% deposit upon booking. Your reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of the deposit in our account. The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before the safari’s start date, and payment must be received in our account by then.

In case of cancellation, the following fees apply:

  • Up to 90 days before the safari start: 15% of the complete price
  • From 89 to 35 days before the safari start: 25% of the complete price
  • From 34 to 22 days before the safari start: 50% of the complete price
  • From 21 to 15 days before the safari start: 70% of the complete price
  • 14 days before the safari start: 90% of the complete price
  • 7 days before the safari start or non-appearance: 100% of the complete price

Please note that we reserve the right to invoice local fees for cancellations from the 10th day before the safari begins.

Flexibility and Terms

As much as we strive to provide you with the best possible experience, unforeseen circumstances may arise. Therefore, we reserve the right to change the ship and move guests to another boat if necessary. In such cases, it may be possible for guests to stay the first or last night in a hotel. Additionally, we may need to adjust our terms and conditions in response to government regulations or new rules.
