Rules and Respect
At Woodfire, we believe in creating a respectful and responsible camping experience. These rules, imposed by the South Downs National Park and based on our own experiences, ensure that everyone can enjoy their stay. We kindly ask you to show respect towards other campers and the environment. In the event that anyone in your group disturbs the peace, we may unfortunately have to ask you to leave.
Woodfire Kitchen – Where the Magic Happens!
The heart of our campsite is the Woodfire Kitchen, a beautiful roundwood timber-framed building made from local chestnut. It’s where you’ll find us most of the time, cooking up delicious meals over open fire. We serve mouthwatering dishes and pour locally sourced drinks from our bar. Please note that the kitchen is for our staff only, but there is a freezer available for your use.
Dogs Welcome!
We understand that your furry friends are part of the family, so feel free to bring them along if you’re camping on one of our grass pitches. However, please keep them on a lead at all times, as there are other animals on the farm. We want to ensure a harmonious experience for all campers, so let’s be responsible pet owners.
Campfires and Fire Safety
What’s camping without a cozy campfire? At Woodfire, you can definitely have campfires! We provide sustainably sourced firewood for sale, or you can bring your own firepit. However, please be mindful of the surrounding woods and heathland, especially during dry weather. Always wet the ground around the fire before lighting it, have a bucket of water nearby, and extinguish the fire before going to bed. Safety first!
Caravans and Campervans
If you’re traveling with a campervan, we have designated spaces for up to five vehicles. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate caravans. Please let us know in advance if you’re bringing a campervan, so we can manage the numbers accordingly.
Electric Vehicle Charging
Good news for electric vehicle owners! We have two parking spaces with plug sockets available for overnight charging. However, please note that there is a fee of £7 per night for this service. If you need to charge your car while you’re out exploring, you can use the Zap-map app to locate nearby electric charging points.
Music and Noise Guidelines
While we love a good campfire sing-along, we kindly ask you to refrain from playing electronic music or any loud instruments. Sound travels far in this area, and we want to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. After 10:30 PM, we request that you keep noise levels low to respect your fellow campers.
Check-In and Arrival Time
You can arrive at Woodfire anytime between 2 PM and either 9 PM or sunset, whichever comes earlier. However, before setting up your tent, please make sure to check in at the Woodfire Kitchen. This is important for fire safety reasons and to receive important information about your stay. We don’t want you to have to relocate your tent later!
Barbecues and Cars on the Field
Barbecues are more than welcome at Woodfire! Just make sure they’re raised off the ground for safety. If you need bricks for your barbecue, feel free to borrow them from us. As for cars, we kindly request that you park them in our designated car park. This ensures a safe and peaceful environment on the campsite. Plus, it’s a great opportunity for the little ones to enjoy a fun ride in our stylish wheelbarrows!
Nearby Amenities and Attractions
If you’re in need of some supplies or fancy a meal out, there are two nearby shops: Graffham Village Shop and Heath End Store. They offer everything from groceries to delicious homemade treats. Additionally, there are several pubs in the area, including The Foresters and The Cricketers, perfect for a refreshing beverage or a hearty meal. If you’re up for it, there are beautiful beaches and scenic walks just a short drive away from the campsite.
Group Bookings and Exclusive Hire
We love hosting groups at Woodfire, as we know it’s a fantastic way to spend quality time with friends and family. However, please note that we limit group sizes to a maximum of 20 people across five pitches. This ensures a pleasant experience for everyone on the campsite. If you’re planning a larger group booking, we have an exclusive hire field near our Firle site. Contact us for more information.

If you need to cancel your booking, please refer to our policy on our website. Remember, Woodfire Camping is enjoyed at your own risk, so please take necessary precautions and supervise children accordingly.
